We provide on-demand, in-person, and live-virtual courses and modules covering topics that relate to the safety and protection of communities from the real threat of wildfire. Our courses are science-based and updated to reflect current knowledge in the field of structural hardening and defensible space or vegetation management.
This information will help you identify ignition vulnerabilities and exposures to structures (e.g., homes, outbuildings, and businesses), from wildfire, in the built environment by understanding a variety of relevant information such as the National Cohesive Wildland Fire Management Strategy, recent research in fire science related to structures in wildfire-prone areas, ecosystem considerations, historic wildfires, planning tools and code development considerations, construction materials for hardening or protecting specific structural attributes, defensible vs survivable space, plant chemistry, plant selection, safe landscaping practices, methodology for evaluating structures, and how to motivate and inspire people to take action.

As an industry-leading NFPA Certified Wildfire Mitigation Specialist (CWMS), I have a breadth and depth of experience that very few mitigation specialists have.
I started my career in the fire service in 2000 with the Boise Fire Department and have held various roles, including:
